In "Putting parcels on high-speed trains" (pages 36–39), our Founder & CEO Adam Parkinson shares the results of our 90mph middle-mile trial on the West Coast Main Line, believed to be the UK's first sustained high-speed middle-mile operation:
🚄 Anglo-Scottish rail transit cut from 8 hours to 4.5 hours
✅ 53 of 54 trains on time
⚡ 58% lower energy use than eHGVs for a 20-container train
🌱 390kg+ CO₂ saved per container journey vs diesel road haulage
🔋 1,100+ kWh regenerated per journey, enough to power an eHGV for 500+ miles
