GoExpress reduces reliance on diesel HGVs for time-sensitive middle-mile logistics, directly supporting the DfT’s Net Zero and Greener Transport objectives.
Our trials demonstrate how shifting the middle mile to high-speed, electrified rail decarbonises flows that are inherently difficult to electrify over long distances, while enabling a hub-and-spoke model where electric HGVs can efficiently handle the final mile.
This dual approach both lowers carbon emissions and mitigates the operational and cost challenges of rolling out eHGVs across the entire logistics network, further supporting recent government investments in supporting the development of the eHGV ecosystem.
